Travel Itinerary
Day 1
Padang – Siberut – Mentawai Interior
06:10 AM – Meet at Muaro Port, Padang, and complete the departure process.
07:00 AM – Depart for Siberut Island by Mentawai Fast speedboat.
Transit in the northern area of Siberut with lunch at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Siberut, the journey continues by local vehicle to a riverside village, followed by a river trip using a traditional wooden boat called a pompong.
After arriving in the interior area, participants will take a light trek to the Uma, the traditional Mentawai house, and meet the local family as well as the Sikerei, the spiritual leader of the Mentawai community. The evening will be spent with the host family, experiencing the atmosphere of traditional life that remains well preserved to this day.
Day 2
Cultural Activities & Traditional Life
Document the morning activities of the local community.
Photography and filming session of family life inside the Uma.
Join traditional hunting activities or search for forest food sources.
Conduct interviews and document local culture.
